Hamilton County Contractors

Contractors who want to conduct contracting work in Hamilton County, Ohio, must register with the Hamilton County office and obtain a $10,000 surety bond.

AmeriPro Surety Bonds offers the Hamilton County plumbing/installation bond as either a new or first time surety bond or a renewal surety bond.

Hamilton County Plumbing Bond: The Purpose of the Surety Bond Requirement

The Hamilton county plumbing bond is required as a financial guarantee that you will perform plumbing in compliance with all statutory provisions of the Hamilton County General Health District and any other relevant laws.

The bond’s existence holds Hamilton County harmless for the failure of any plumbing contractor to comply with any rules, and the resultant harm which may occur for any failure.

The protections afforded the county extend also to any employees or subcontractors whom you hire in connection with work performed.

To be clear, although the bond is purchased by you as a licensed contractor, its existence is solely for the benefit of Hamilton County.

In the event that a claim were made on your surety bond and judged credible, it is your legal obligation to reimburse the surety in full for all costs and fees involved in the settlement of the claim.

Hamilton County Plumbing Bond: The Premium and the Bond’s Term

The $10,000 Hamilton County plumbing bond is an instant issue surety bond which will only cost you $100 annually.

By instant issue, this means that after the application is completed and the premium is paid, the bond is issued immediately. There is no underwriting nor a credit check involved.

The bond will be sent to you by the following business day after payment is received.

However, the County of Hamilton will only accept the original copy of the bond. The County also maintains a number of bond requirements for the surety bond’s acceptance.

Once issued, the bond will expire on December 31st. A currently active bond must always be on file with the county in order to remain eligible for the awarding of contracting work.
