Massillon Electrical Contractors

Electrical contractors who work in Massillon, Ohio, must register with the city, pay a non-refundable $125 application fee, and furnish the city with a $10,000 Massillon electrical contractor bond.

AmeriPro Surety Bonds offers you this bond as a new and renewal surety bond.

Massillon Electrical Contractor Bond: The Purpose of this Bond

The purpose of the Massillon electrical contractor bond is a financial guarantee that electrical contractors will comply with all rules and regulations as it concerns their professional duties, particularly Ordinance No. 1313.

The bond’s protections are for the city of Massillon, Ohio, and its residents.

This electrical contractor bond holds the city harmless from harm or damage caused by an electrical contractor, and any employees, journeymen, and apprentices of an electrical contractor.

The bond also protects the city from the consequences of work which is not performed, not completed, or is substandard in some respects.

Since the bond is a surety bond, not an insurance policy, in the event that a claim were filed against your bond, and paid from it, you are required to reimburse the surety.

This reimbursement includes all costs and fees involved in the settlement of any surety bond claim.

Massillon Electrical Contractor Bond: The Premium

The Massillon electrical contractor bond will cost you just $100 annually.

This bond is an “instant issue” surety bond.

By “instant issue” is meant that once the application is completed, and the premium is paid, the bond is issued instantly.

There is neither a credit check or underwriting involved in the bond’s purchase.

Once issued, the bond is mailed to you by the next business day at the latest. Cities will always require that the original, signed bond be filed, not a copy or email printout.

Massillon Electrical Contractor Bond: The Bond’s Term or Duration

By statute, the bond will expire on February 28th if issued before that date in the calendar year, or the following February 28th if issued after that date.

The bond must be kept current and active at all times to remain eligible to perform work in the city.
