A condition of licensing is that you obtain a $2500 surety bond pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes title 32-2401. The purpose of the surety bond is to provide a guarantee that you will be in compliance with all private investigator laws, regulations, and procedures, as amended; and that, furthermore, you’ll hold the Department of Public Safety harmless from the violations of these laws.
Such guarantees extend may also extend to any employees and those whom you hire in connection with your work.
You are automatically approved for the $2500 Arizona private investigator bond. The premium is $100 annually, and there is no credit criteria to qualify.
When you call us, we’ll ask you the name as it should appear on your surety bond. The name will match any other paperwork that you’ll be filing with the Department; so, it will not necessarily be your first and last name.
