Professional solicitors in Kentucky are licensed and regulated by the state office of the Attorney General. A prerequisite for licensing is that solicitors submit evidence of a $25,000 surety bond.
This surety bond will expire on December 31st of the year in which it is purchased; or, if you prepay the surety bond for 2 or 3 years, the expiry date will be December 31st of that ending year. You will be required to renew by January 1st.

You are pre-approved for the Kentucky professional solicitor bond because there is no credit check nor review by an underwriter. What this means for you is that after the completion of an application and payment of the premium, the surety solicitor bond is issued to you immediately. It is an “instant issue” surety bond.
For a full year, the premium is $250; however, depending on when during the calendar year the bond is purchased, the premium will be prorated accordingly.
