New York Manufactured Home Mechanic Bond
AmeriPro Surety Bonds | 844-589-9732
Licensing; Surety Bond Purpose
Mechanics for New York manufactured homes are required to obtain a $5,000 surety bond as a condition of licensing.
The purpose of this bond is to serve as a financial guarantee which ensures your compliance with Article 21-B of New York’s legislation, as amended.
More specifically, the bond guarantees that you will comply with all laws, and pay any and all fees, penalties, or judgments rendered against you or any employees and agents in connection with your mechanic’s business.
Of note also is that New York state requires you to obtain the greater surety bond amount if you offer mechanic services and are a manufacturer, retailer or installer of manufactured homes.
You are not, however, required to obtain a separate surety bond for each activity; the greater amount alone suffices.
Qualifying and the Premium
Our agency issues the $5,000 New York manufactured home mechanic bond for a 2-year period. We offer this bond without an underwriter inquiry or a credit check.
The premium is $270 for the two year period.
When you call us, we’ll ask you the basics. Essentially this is just the name and your business address, and other contact information as it should appear on your surety bond.
After payment of the $270 premium, our agency issues your bond to you along with a Power of Attorney form.
We will notarize your bond as Surety; upon receipt, you’ll notarize your bond as Principal, filing all received and completed documents to:
