Contractors who wish to operate in the city of Columbus must first register with the city by applying online for a permit.

Contractors must also furnish the city with a $25,000 Columbus contractor license surety bond. This surety bond is available from our agency as both a new and renewal bond.

 

 

Qualifying and the Premium

 

 

You are automatically approved for the $25,000 Columbus license contractor bond.  There is no credit check, and the premium is just $125 annually.

When you call us, we’ll simply ask you the following questions:  The name, exactly as it should appear on your surety bond.  We’ll also ask for your phone number, email, and address.  Then we’ll ask for the name of the individual registrant, or licensee.

After payment of $125, our agency issues this bond to you immediately, along with a Power of Attorney form, a financial statement, and a Certificate of Compliance.  Upon receipt, you’ll sign by mail, you’ll sign your bond as Principal and file it to:
