Rhode Island Auctioneer Registration
Auctioneers in Rhode Island are regulated by the state’s Department of Business Regulation. As one of the prerequisites for licensing, you are required to obtain a $10,000 surety bond.
Meeting the surety bond requirement through our agency will take just a few minutes.
Qualifying and the Premium
You are automatically approved for the $10,000 Rhode Island auctioneer bond. The premium will cost you just $100 annually, and there is no credit check involved.
The application couldn’t be any simpler: When you call us, we’ll just ask you the name that you want on your surety bond. We’ll also ask you for your contact information (including email and phone number).
After payment of the $100 premium, our agency will issue your auctioneer bond immediately and will have it mailed to you for filing, along with a Power of Attorney (POA) form.
Upon receipt, you’ll sign your bond as Principal, filing it along with the POA to:

The premium prepayment options and savings are as follows:
- If prepaid for 2 years, the premium is $180, a $20 savings;
- If prepaid for 3 years, the premium is $260, a $40 savings.
