Licensing of Wyoming Real Estate Appraisal Companies

The Wyoming Real Estate Commission & Certified Appraiser Board handles the licensing of appraisal management companies.

Wyoming appraisal management companies are required to obtain a $25,000 surety bond as a condition of licensing. This requirement is for both first time and renewal licensees.

Qualifying and the Premium

You are automatically approved for the $25,000 Wyoming real estate appraisal management company bond.

The premium is 1%, $250 annually, and there is no credit check.

When you call us, we’ll ask you the name, exactly as it should appear on your appraisal management company bond. Then we’ll need the other basics: address, phone number, and email.

After payment of the premium, your bond and Power of Attorney form (POA) are issued to you immediately.

We’ll sign your bond as Surety; and upon receipt of your bond and POA form by mail, you’ll sign it as Principal.

The address to file your completed bond documents is to:

Wyoming Real Estate Commission & Certified Appraiser Bond

2617 E. Lincolnway, Suite H

Cheyenne, WY 82002

Premium Prepayment Options

The $250 premium for your appraisal management surety bond renews annually on the anniversary of your bond’s issuance.

Our agency also offers you the opportunity to prepay your bond’s premium up to 3 years. Prepayment of the premium allows you to save over annual renewals.

The premium prepayment option and savings are as follows:

  • If prepaid for 2 years, the premium is $450, a $50 savings;
  • If prepaid for 3 years, the premium is $650, a $100 savings.

Purpose Of Your Surety Bond Requirement

Your bond serves as a financial guarantee of your compliance with Wyoming Statutes Annotated § 33-39-203(c)(vii), as amended.
