The Alask Department of Community and Economic Development, Division of Insurance, is the regulatory body charged with overseeing third party administrators.
A condition of licensing for TPA’s is that a surety bond be furnished.
The amount is determined by licensing and we’ll need you to provide us with that amount upon calling our agency.
Our agency provides the Alaska third party administrator bond in whatever amount required.
For those who require a surety bond up to and including a $50,000 requirement, we also offer streamlined processing. This means that we offer your bond without a credit check. The premium will be 1% (min. $100).
For an Alaska TPA bond up to this amount, we also don’t need a signed application; higher amounts require a signed application and an underwriter review to include a credit check inquiry.
Regardless of the amount required, when you call us, we’ll ask you the following:
Upon approval of your bond, and payment of the premium, our agency issues your bond to you immediately for filing. Included will also be a (POA) Power of Attorney form.
Upon receipt in the mail, you’ll sign your bond as Principal, and then file it along with your POA form to:
State of Alaska

Your bond is required as per Section 21.27.640 of Alaska’s statutes and is conditioned upon your compliance with all rules, as amended, as Third Party Administrator business.
