The Business Licensing Center of the city and county of Denver, requires auctioneers to be licensed.   According to the city’s website, you will have to complete:

• A questionnaire;
• A form detailing your criminal history, if applicable;
• An affidavit with your lawful presence in the state;
• A state or federally issued current ID
• Fees which total at least $241.50. The application fee is $25; the licensing fee is $200; and the fingerprint fee is $16.50 (per person). Assume that all of these fees are nonrefundable.

You must also file a surety bond. Our agency provides the surety bond for both first time and current auctioneers who are renewing their license.
