Under Georgia Code Title 40 §40-2-25, private tag and title services agencies are licensed based, in part, providing a $50,000 surety bond. The surety bond is referred to as the Private Tag and Title Service Fidelity Bond.

Qualifying and the Premium
Our agency approves your business for the $50,000 Georgia private tax and title bond without an underwriter review and without a credit check.
The premium is $500 annually.
Obtaining your bond is easy and just requires you providing us with the following information: The name and address of your private tag and title business, as it should appear on your surety bond.
Also, we’ll need the County and address of the Tax Commissioner where your business is located. This is required because in Georgia, the obligee, that is the entity requiring the surety bond is by the County location.
After payment of the $500 premium, the bond is issued to you immediately. Included with your bond will be the Power of Attorney form.
Upon receipt by mail, you’ll sign your bond as Principal, filing it with the Tax Commissioner in your business County.
Premium Prepayment Options
The premium renews annually, but may also be prepaid for up to 3 years.
Choosing this option saves you over annual renewals.
The premium prepayment option and savings are as follows:
- If prepaid for 2 years, the premium is $900, a $100 savings;
- If prepaid for 3 years, the premium is $1300, a $200 savings.
