Sign Companies – Idaho Falls, Idaho

The city of Idaho Falls has detailed legislation on the construction, erection, and maintenance of signs which appear in the city limits.

In order to be approved for sign erections, one requirement is that you furnish the city with evidence of a surety bond in an amount to be determined by the city’s commissioner.

With our agency, meeting the surety bond requirement will take a few minutes.

Qualifying and the Premium

You are going to automatically be approved for the Idaho sign company license bond without a credit check for any amount up to and including $50,000. There will be no credit check nor underwriter review which is why the bond is issued to you so quickly.

According to current regulations, as of this writing, the amount of surety required will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

With a minimum premium of $100, applicants for this bond will pay 1% of the amount required.

When you call us, we’ll ask you the basics – the name of your company as it should appear on the bond; your address and other contact information.

We’ll also need to know the amount required. After the premium is paid, our agency will issue the bond to you and mail it for filing. You will sign your bond as Principal; our signature will appear as agents for the Surety.

Filing your bond will be to:

City of Idaho Falls

Idaho Falls City Clerk (City Hall)

Idaho Falls, ID 83402

Premium Prepayment Options

The standard premium payment makes your bond active for one year and thereafter the premium is renewed.

You also have the option to prepay your bond for up to 3 years. Prepayment of the premium will save you over annual renewals, besides lengthening the time between renewals.

Purpose of Your Surety Bond Requirement

As stated within the legislation linked above, the purpose of your surety bond is to protect the city of Idaho Falls from damages, losses, or costs incurred by a licensed sign business entity whose signs cause damage through negligence in the erecting of the sign or negligence in maintenance of the sign.
