While regulations are handled by the Department, your license and surety bond are filed through NMLS, the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.  In order to be licensed, you are required to obtain the appropriate surety bond amount. The following will help you determine the amount of surety required:

• A minimum of $10,000 surety bond;
• With an additional $5000 surety bond requirement for each additional location or place of authorized delegates after the first location;
• And a maximum surety bond amount of $500,000.
