Sales finance companies in Nebraska come under the regulations concerning consumer lending.

A condition of license is that you furnish the state with evidence of financial responsibility in the form of a $50,000 surety bond. Our agency can file your bond to NMLS, the Nationwide Multistate Licensing Systme on your behalf; or we can send the bond to you for filing.

The purpose of your surety bond requirement is to serve as a financial guarantee of your compliance with the Nebraska Installment Sales Act, and any subsequent amendments thereto.

 

 

 

Qualifying and the Premium

 

 

 

Approval for the $50,000 Nebraska sales finance bond includes completing a surety bond application and undergoing an application review by an underwreiter..

We will begin the application with you by phone; however, it will need your signature. This we will do by DocuSign which facilitates ease of completing the items needed.

After review of your surety bond application, approval is granted on the basis of good credit; the rate is ¾ of 1%, $375, annually.

Once your surety bond has been approved and the payment taken, we’ll either file your surety bond on your behalf to NMLS (you’ll need to provide us with the permissions); or, we’ll send the bond to you for filing. This is entirely your decision.

Your bond will be active for one year from the date of issuance.

 

 

 

Premium Prepayment Options

 

 

 

Our agency also offers you the option to prepay your premium for 2 or 3 years, thereby offering you a savings over annual renewals.

The 2 and 3 year premium prepayment options and savings are as follows:

  • If prepaid for 2 years, the premium is $675, a $75 savings;
  • If prepaid for 3 years, the premium is $975, a $150 savings.
