Applicants interested in pursuing a career as a funeral seller in Nevada may want to familiarize themselves with this guide provided by the State of Nevada Funeral And Cemetery Services Board.
Even though funeral sellers are not formally required to study this guide, still it directly pertains to their chosen industry.
As defined by Nevada state law, a “funeral seller” is one who, for compensation, sells items related to the equipment and supplies used in a burial.
Also included in this definition are cremating services.
Funeral-related matters which are excluded from the definition of a funeral seller include the services performed by a cemetery, including ”…land, markers, memorials, monuments, or merchandise and equipment in relation to the cemetery the sale of crypts [and other similar burial locations]” NRS 689.150.
Some of the requirements for a Nevada funeral seller include:

Cemetery Seller $185.00 Cemetery Agent $235.00

There is also a $50,000 surety bond required for Nevada funeral sellers.
The Nevada funeral seller surety bond is for $50,000.
This surety bond is issued in favor of the state of Nevada.
The bond protects consumers from acts of dishonesty, theft, fraud, and other criminally liable activities which may be committed by the funeral seller in the course of their duties.
Applicants will of course pay only a small fraction of the $50,000 surety bond.
The amount paid (known as the premium) will be determined by the applicant’s credit score. The price may be as low as $500 annually.
The bond is issued to run concurrently with your funeral sellers license, and is required to be renewed when the license renews.
