Private career schools operating in New Hampshire are regulated by the state’s Department of Education.
A condition of licensing is that the appropriate surety bond amount is furnished to the Department. The amount required is:
For any New Hampshire career school licensing bond up to and including a $50,000 surety bond requirement, our agency offers streamlined processing.
What this means for you is that after completion of a short bond application --- which we’ll take from you directly over the phone --- and payment of the premium, our agency issues this bond to you immediately for filing with the NH Department of Education.
The premium will be 1% of the surety bond’s amount.
Amounts Greater than $50,000
If you require a surety bond amount greater than $50,000, the following procedures are followed:
Upon approval of your good business or personal credit, the 1% premium for the bond will be required.
After the premium is paid, our agency issues this bond to you immediately for filing. Along with your surety bond, there will be a Power of Attorney (POA) form included.
You will sign your bond as Principal and file it along with the POA to:
