Signage Licensing; Purpose of the Surety Bond Requirement
Companies which place signage and billboards in North Hempstead are required to obtain a $10,000 surety bond as a precondition of obtaining a signage permit.
The purpose of the surety bond requirement is to hold North Hempstead harmless for any negligence in the erection or maintenance of signage placed; and to hold the city harmless for any consequent damages as a result.
