Rhode Island Travel Agency License
The Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation, Division of Commercial Licensing requires applicants — new and renewal — to furnish evidence of a $10,000 surety bond.
Additional licensing requirements are listed in detail by the Department.
Qualifying and the Premium
You are automatically approved for the $10,000 Rhode Island travel agency bond. There is no credit check inquiry. The premium will cost you just $100 annually.
When you call us, we’ll take the application from you over the phone. The questions we ask are simple enough:
- The name, exactly as it should appear on your surety bond;
- Contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email.
After payment of the $100 premium, the bond is issued to you immediately. Your surety bond and Power of Attorney form will be sent to you.
Upon receipt, you’ll sign your bond as Principal, filing all documents received from our agency to:

Premium Prepayment Options
The $100 premium for your Rhode Island travel agency surety bond is for one year and renews thereafter. An active, current surety bond must remain on file to operate your agency.
Our agency offers you the option to prepay your surety bond up to 3 years. Prepayment of the premium saves you over annual renewals, and lengthens the time between renewals.
The premium prepayment options and savings are as follows:
- If prepaid for 2 years, the premium is $180, a $20 savings;
- If prepaid for 3 years, the premium is $260, a $40 savings.
